Ronnie Wood has released his latest track, ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Music’ as a free download and lyric video. The track is taken from his new album Ronnie Wood with His Wild Five – Mad Lad: A Live Tribute to Chuck Berry.
‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Music’ is a long-time favourite song of Ronnie’s and features guest vocalist Imelda May who also appears on the live album (out on 15 November). Written and recorded by Chuck Berry in 1957, the song has become of the most popular rock ‘n’ roll songs ever, with versions released by everyone from The Beatles, Bill Haley & His Comets, Humble Pie and The Beach Boys, to REO Speedwagon and Bryan Adams. Ronnie’s version is a stripped back, raw version of the song, just as Berry intended it to be. The track is available here.
Ronnie ‘s Shepherds Bush gig on 21 November sold out on the day the tickets were available. Last week, an extra date was announced at Birmingham Symphony Hall on 25 November.
